Think before and speak later

We all have two ears but 1 mouth, for a purpose. A purpose which is set by nature, Speak less but listen more. We have a brain whose size is large as compared to the size one's mouth even when it is wide open. Again, that is for a purpose.

Time and again, I am flabbergasted at how people manage to speak without cerebration. One of the most axiomatic and significant attributes of homosapiens is the ability to communicate through speech. A mesmerizing inference is that we communicate our thoughts in real time; we do not need to plan what we’re going to say before we say it. This inborn ability is often the source of dismay when we say on the spur of the moment and later wish we had either not said, or said differently - in a way which would have made different impact.

It happens with everyone, no matter how good speaker you are, no matter how well versed, prepared, intelligent you are, at one point in time you are bound to make this mistake.

Why do people forget that if one comments on a person in public, it is not only he/she who will be embarrassed,  the person on whom  the comment has been made will be embarrassed more. If you care for the targeted person, at-least think what you are going to say before blabbering out just like that.

Till the time you are in college, everything is fine to a certain extent. But, as soon as you enter the professional arena, things change and they change COMPLETELY. I know this because, I have experienced it. One needs to weigh the words which are in the pipeline of utterance before dumping them onto your boss/colleagues/subordinates.

I know, I am not perfect and I also make the same kind of mistakes but the crux is I make it a point to improve myself, which many people in my life fail to do so. People go on shitting about human relations, but why don't they realize that the way you speak or rather I should say comment about others especially about the "near and dear ones", affects the relation to a great extent.

Practice makes a man perfect, but not in this arena. As a human being, you are bound to make mistakes yet practice well to reduce the number of mistakes.

Think well before you speak else pay well later.
