On the other side..

Image
P.S.: I am not referring to the short movie " On the other side " It always looks better. The other side, the grass on the other side. Not just the grass, also the food on the neighbor's plate, your friend's car, your boss's secretary, your friends job and the list can go on and on! Till yesterday evening, I used to believe "The grass is always greener on the other side" ..but what followed after dinner completely changed my perspective. "The grass is always greener and harder on the other side". We all take so much for granted. It is always difficult to be content with your current    situation, to be able to resist the temptation of what others have requires a hell lot of dimaagi santulan ! It's not only the two legged species who have this issue, it happens with canines. Feed one..feed another..you'll find the 1st canine leaving his share and attacking the 2nd one's share first! Just to be able to get a bite of that interdicted f

Stochastic - Garlic Bread Sticks!

Went out for shopping with M.A.M(P.S. I don't date teachers! just another abbreviation from the swarm of zillion creepy abbreviations which I love to create) While having Garlic bread, it struck to me - Life is like garlic bread..bland at the base but spicy on the top filled with cheese and fillings! {read it as Friends and Family!} Our present keeps on building the base, day by day making us stronger than before, makes one realize the hidden capabilities. But from no where the tingling taste of the spicy garlic hits our taste buds(oh yeah? you ordered Garlic Bread right?) just like the past which begins to haunt time and again. No matter how spicy it may be, you still enjoy it and if the spiciness goes way beyond your limit, dump the spices, ignore the past and enjoy life. What ever be the outcome of more/less spices you look forward to the next "Tera"-bite. Same should be our approach if we want the next BIG thing! As Fastrack says "Move on!". If you happen to

"The Time" is approaching

Few hours ago, came to know that two of my Caustic Confederates{not as caustic as  in Grads} will be going to Aamchi Mumbai, made me ponder that few months from now, it will be the last day of M.B.A Walking on the snail laden pavement, surrounded by trees, hedges and birds from all sides, it struck to me that time wins the race no matter whether the opponent is Usain Bolt! The 2nd phase of my college life..the probable last two years of being a student will finally come to an end. Probable, because if I my mood decides to get cranky I might end up pursuing an executive program as well in a few years from now! But right now, I am stupefied! I know its very early to think about this but you can't stop some random yet logical thought from sprouting! Looking around, the dark clouds and the big rain drops..I saw the buildings, ground, courts where I have spent  memorable time laughing, running, shouting, walking and unintentional murdering of snails. The walk to the mess which always us

Its not that I don't have anything else to post..its just that I love this LWD mail :P just like I still Love CIQ! Alright, I don't know where to begin, but here it is, Madhur is all set to leave the realms of IT life (hopefully) and set foot in the next phase of his life. Never the less, the memories made here will be cherished till I perish (poet in making?) Well, Today is my last day at Capital IQ. Just stepping up to add few more credentials on my resume, time to be a student and experience the college life again, for me to pursue my much awaited MBA. It's been a short journey of almost a year. From having a stable functionality release to "Aarggh!! Damn how did I miss this bug!!”. I have enjoyed working here a lot. Vikrant, Rajiv, Girish- I thank you for your constant support and encouragement whether it's related to the QA work, mails or developing the performance monitoring tool [I hope you find it useful]. Screening Dev- Ian, Aaron you guys are amazing whet

Stumbling!

How many times it happens that a sane person stumbles on his past while doing some insane thing? Not many a times right? Probably, this is the reason why I call myself insane especially when it comes to Formatting a HDD! I prefer keeping the frequency of formatting a closely guarded secret..yeah just like the Coke formula! Yesterday, I happened to format it again and while taking a backup I stumbled upon the "pictures" folder. And just like any sane person, the past began to uncover itself, struck with nostalgia..introspection{especially after I saw the pic in which I had shoulder length hair} I spent almost an hour going through all the pics..right from being a new born to a toddler to School then to Grads..Infy..Capital IQ{walker :P} to IMT Nagpur! And then I happened to visit "ALIEN INC" ..huh? A folder..umm gallery containing my creations in photoshop! Creations ranging from text effects to wallpapers to morphing! Good old photoshop days <nostalgia strikes ag

Its been almost 6 months since I finished reading "Into the wild" and still the story remains fresh in my mind. Homo sapiens are social creatures but does the inherent need to become social take a toll so much so that you are bound to give up everything? How often do you come across a young person who renounces everything including the money which was reserved for his education? Or a person who abandons his car in the middle of nowhere inspite of the fact that he loves it? How can a person be so stupid that he burns his wallet, breaks up with his family peacefully? All this for reinventing himself and to embark into the wilderness of Alaska. IDIOT..right? Well thats Chritopher McCandless 'reinvented' as Alexander Supertramp. How often an Author of a magazine article is compelled to write a biography of a person, who is on a quest to live in the wild..whose dead body is recovered by hunters weeks after the death? In 'Into The Wild', Jon KraKauer tries to retrac
