Learn before you use - Words and Grammar!

Sometime back I happened to be a part of an online conversation in which I was just a spectator. People begin preparing for GRE/GMAT/TOEFL by memorizing Barron's word list but they completely ignore the building blocks of any language - Grammar. Anyways, here is the chat log which I happen to remember. The first three sentences below are a work of fiction.


TJ: Hey TS! Glad to see you! Where are you these days?


TS: Hey TJ Same here. I'm in a hurry, catch you on G+


TJ: Sure! See you.


After a couple of months,


TJ: Hey TS! Glad to see you on G+ finally! So, Where are you these days?


TS: I am feeling very amiable, thanking you. I am no longer live in Tokyo, shifted to Egypt quiet a long time ago.


TJ: Long time no ocean then?? :P


TS: What? What do you mean?huhhh


TJ: Umm..dude! Never mind..KOB nothing!


TS: That was an execrable gag. No wonder it leads to arguments between us. You are deviant and everybody execrates you!


TJ: WTF! Dude! are you consuming a weed named dictionary? Just say you hate my antics and jokes, just like normal human beings? Why do believe in sophisticating simple things? You aren't a lawyer or an author to some law book, just use simple words.


TS: No! I has been perusing for GMAT. I has just ended the ‘a’ to 'e' words.


TJ: Aahhh! So you are an accountant and haven't started the preparation for grammar?


TS: True both. How your knowed that?


TJ: Account because you how to forge accounts and make individual heads in financial statements work, but have no idea how the actual figure fits in. And grammar because..umm you may say that I am intelligent or just a fluke


TS: I opened a tumblr blog account to improve my holding in English letters and sentences.


TJ: Ohh so you're gonna use righting as an aide to help you with the preparation?


TS: Yes..umm you estimated it write.


TJ: So you right sardonic? Acerbic?


TS: Sardonic?


TJ: Yes. You don't know sardonic? Starts with a 's'..aahh you haven't started the 's' series words


TS: Whats meaning of sardonic?


TJ: Sardonic means expressing something and meaning something.


TS: Hmmmm?? Why?? So it is used by confused people? Anyway, the name of my tumblr account's heading is 'Esoteric accounts from ancient annals of ancestoral apes'


TJ: :O what the hell are you blabbering!! That sounds like some fictionary piece of umm...never mind.


TS: Shut up you… unfathomable gull! I'll search the annals before righting and have the bestest tumblr account ever!


TJ: You mean annals or anal?

Ramblings Again!

Consider a situation where you are signing a pact with  chariness, lack of authenticity and selfishness. You might ruin, in fact poison the relationship even before laying the foundation stone. People with whom you are dealing with will have a hard time in the face of your  incredulity, they won't be disputed to rise to your level of expectations. Over the years, I've learnt one thing. O ne should prefer concentrating on the goodwill of mortals who are doing work with you. No matter what you do, where you go, you are bound to encounter those handful of people who will try their very best to disappoint to you but eventually you'll understand that is their sole purpose of life. One thing, which I've understood during PG course is the importance of an open mind and an open heart but that just increases the vulnerability.  Maybe, one should give others a chance to live up to our trust and others should not be on a hunt to try to cultivate trust in spite of knowing

A teardrop in the lake..

It was an unusual winter evening, she was sitting at the corner of a semi-frozen lake, looking at the patches of water with her panoptic eyes. I was on the other side of the lake, sitting on a bench under a maple tree, trying to write something but she took a majority of my attention. I could see her nose inhaling the intoxicating air from the lake. There were people in front of us, trying their luck at fishing. Without any expression - be it sadness or happiness, she was staring at the lifeless lake. I again tried to resume my writing but my eyes kept on looking at her. The sun was in its final stage of descend, the darkness had spread its arms, engulfing the complete surrounding. I could see apparitions of those walking around the lake, couples probably. There was no sunset in the corner of the lake, yet there was something in the whole environment, which made it picturesque.
