Observations of a student

Disclaimer:  All characters appearing in this work are not fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. This is not meant to be derogatory to anyone. I owe a lot to those whom I am referring in this post. It is because of them I've achieved many things in life. Just random observations and nothing else. A very big thank you to all  my professors, guides, institutes -  student life would not have been possible without these good, inspiring and knowledgeable people.

Right now, I am just 40 days away from entering a new life - corporate life.
Student life - especially the one in college is the most cherished, fun filled period in a one's life. Roaming inside the campus, reaching late in the class/exam, studying on the night before the exam, hanging out with friends, gossiping about batch mates and not to forget faculties, bunking lectures to catch up on some movie/food/sleep or anything..all are such liberation filled feeling known to me.

I've been thinking about dedicating a post to my professors and here it is, though a funny one. These blessed souls possess various shapes, sizes, volumes, mass and force. Their role inside the class is as huge as outside the class. With almost 6 years of being in college(combining UG and PG!..just incase you think I flunked), some kind of professors which are present in almost every programme/institutes are:

1. The Coquetted type: Stares at girls, only listens to examples or explanation given by them - yes he is every guy's incubus. One learns the art of flirting even when you've reached the age of sanity, laugh at the art of flirting. Vivas for girls are a nightmare.

2. The fake accent one: One of the most common type, found in almost every college and even offices. From sounding like a tape recorder, from being a humdrum and soporific to impossible to understand. They give you many reasons to laugh in class, a motivation in disguise to attend classes. They are the reason why those 90mins fly. Sometimes it becomes really hard to maintain a straight face when the blessed one pronounces a hard disk as something vulgar and when you fail to maintain the expression, you have your friends to blame..right?

3. Mr. Jack of all subjects: Okay! One needs to understand the difference between being egoist and being self less. Seriously, it is about being selfless, these souls just want the class to know that the best source of information in this world is they! They have the capability to beat Google! Buttering them, is an excellent option if you want grades ;).

4. The English/Hinglish/ type: who seems like he is the inspiration for Inzamam ul Haq or vice versa.. "Our class played very well..inshan-allah ladke win-negey"

5. The warhorse: Call him/her the hitler/hitlerni!. They know the complete pulse of the class - what is happening, what is going to happen, how and when its going to happen. They have all sorts of 6,7,8 senses..all so well developed that they can avoid any kind of disruption in their lectures. Dare you make an eye contact with them, you'll be forced to think "what sin had i committed that I'm in his class" and then comes the viva day - the feeling is like a rabbit left alone in the cage of a royal bengal tiger. They have all sorts of weird evaluation criterias which to them appears to be innovative--ahh eureka moment? Their stories normally includes 60hours of weekly study apart from school time. There is no way by which you can escape from his wrath if you dont complete his assignment or come late to the class

6. The Neophyte  Nervous as if the class is gonna eat him. He is one hard working fellow who is extremely good to the class. Plays with them and yet gives maximum work. He pretends to be tough though fails badly at it. No body takes them seriously not even the institute's management.

7. The cute one - Opposite attracts, do I need to say more? ;)

8. The talented types - apart from teaching, they showcase their talent during college fest - by singing/dancing/mimic-ing ..these are fun to be with people.

Respect!
