Tequila

Amidst the October night sky, The 15th element of the periodic table was flashing white, with flashes that flew low followed by a hebetudinous thump, her legs quaked as she felt the vibrations come up through the terra firma. The canines began to bark, the felines meowed louder than she could recall and then there was silence.
Blossom, was at the top floor of her building, her heart was racing with hopes as the final skyrocket had been launched and that was the concluding thud of the evening. She thought everything was coming to an end and finally she could catch up on her sleep. In that fraction of muteness she was at peace, and so were the pets, atleast they seemed to be. Just then a flash followed by a deafening boom shook the windows, sending the pets into the most demented delirium she had ever witnessed.

"Holy crap! Bloody son of a man..I just loathe this". The frustration piled up over the years was decipherable  in her dull voice full of annoyance and hatred.

"Calm down, its time that you better take these" said Joseph, handing out the prescribed shot of tequila. "Agreed that the dogs hate them but not all are bad." Stretching her arms, Blossom rolled her eyes in smoothest of way she did in many months. For Blossom, Joseph as a wonderful man to share her life with, she loved her more than she loved herself, but the phosphorous shimmering sky was something she could never accept even though it was colorful. A few shots of tequila mellowed her frustration a bit, though it burned a bit while consuming but for her it was better than what was happening outside.

"That was wrong!" Joseph exclaimed.
“So according to you, I wont be inebriated, if I keep myself hydrated and consume citruses?" said Blossom

With another shot in his hand, Joseph explained, "Umm..well no..it isn't like that, you need to lick the salt, shoot the tequila, bite the lemon and then let the feeling travel through you as if you are a baby tasting something sour for the first time.”

Blossom was a convinced and did exactly the same. Just then a skyrocket exploded in the sky but quietly in her heart. "Bearable I must say." She was about to say something to Joseph which she hadn't over the months but was interrupted by another deafening boom. "Effing fireworks! I love you Joseph"
"I love you too Blossom".Joseph was the only partner she had for now and for days to come before she departs for her final journey whose itinerary was decided by fate.
